FLATSHIELD® utilises lightweight and discreet materials for a comfortable experience.

No foam or fabric headband?

We identified that foam absorbed contaminates, retained liquid and stayed wet for a long period of time after decontamination. FLATSHIELD® has an built-in innovative pop-up headband to create the gap required between the device and face. FLATSHIELD® offers similar functionality whilst providing many additional benefits.

Can they be reused?

FLATSHIELD® is designed for short term use however they may be reused in line with local guidelines. The standard method of cleaning is to use a detergent product either combined/sequentially with a decontamination product as agreed by the local infection prevention and control (IPC) specialists. They should be rinsed thoroughly to remove any residual detergent or cleaning product and left to dry.

Should I wear anything underneath?

This device is not a substitute for respiratory protection - always follow government advice.

Why is it called FLATSHIELD®?

Each FLATSHIELD® is stored completely flat and is ready to use - simply pull on the elastic to pop-up and fit within seconds.

No, the pop-up headband creates the distance and shape required.

Can you wear glasses or contact lenses underneath?

Yes, the pop-up headband creates the space required. Glasses with an unusual shape or large width may not be suitable.

Do they steam up?

FLATSHIELD® has an anti-fog design.

Can you see through them?

FLATSHIELD® is optically clear.

Where are they made?

We manufacture the entire product in the UK.
We're a registered British company with a commercial premises in Cannock, Staffordshire. All raw materials are made in England.

How can I trust you?

We have a physical location; FLATSHIELD®, Rumer Hill Business Estate, Cannock, Staffordshire, WS11 0ET. Collection is available upon request. Our website is secured and displays the padlock. Our secure payment gateway accepts Credit Card, Debit Card, Apple Pay, or PayPal. We never receive your sensitive information.

How are they delivered?

We have a business account with Royal Mail and utilise their first class service, high value orders are sent with DPD.
